Contemporary artist Sharon Core’s “Early American” opening at the gallery of Hermes’ Madison store features sixteen chromogenic prints that were inspired by late 18th-early-19th century painter Raphaelle Pealle. For her pieces, Core did more than just infuse her own style but also grew her own heirloom fruits, vegetables and flowers. She also collected period piece glassware to better reflect artifacts from Pealle’s era.
